Welcome to Elgin Studio Hire.
Elgin Studio Hire aims to provide all photographers, amateur or professional with a photostudio to hire on day/half day/evening or hourly rates. The studio is equipped with the Elinchrom wireless flash heads and accessories to allow you to develop your skills on studio photography. To see the facilities that the Studio can offer please follow the links above. You may want to take Family Photographs or Pet Portraits, Product Photography in fact what ever you want (provided it can get in the door).

Need a studio in a hurry? Outdoor photography shoot rained off? Then give the studio a call - the studio may have the solution and will do its best to accommodate you at short notice and/or odd hours.

Elgin Studio Hire is located in New Elgin Road, Elgin, Moray, Grampian, IV30 6BA. Elgin is easily accessible from Aberdeen and Inverness by road or rail and Elgin railway station is only a minute away from the studio. Parking is available nearby. Anita De Bauch put on a superb model day at the studio on Thursday and we were delighted to have hosted her. Maybe she will be back if sh has another Scottish tour in the future. Please keep an eye out for the next model day.

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a modeling day with Anita De Bauch on Thursday 19th August 2010. This is a rare opportunity for photographers in the North East Scotland to shoot with this versatile, adaptable and professional model. Bookings are available in 1 hour slots or multiples there of. New Studio Lighting Course 18/7/10

We are now taking bookings for our next Studio Lighting Course this will held at the studio on Sunday 18th July 2010 from 13:00 - 17:00 and will again be tutored by David Porter. It will cover high key and low key lighting and will be limited to a maximum of 6 photographers. The cost will be £40/head. For further details please email or use the contact form.

Modeling day success

The first modeling day was launched with Amieboo providing a superb and professional session for Grampian photographers. A model of outstanding abilities she and the photographers produced some fantastic work and some images will soon be available to view in the galleries.

Lighting Course Update

The lighting course held today with Dave Porter was a successful and very informative course. Thanks to Dave our tutor and to Julie the patient model. We covered high and low key lighting and also had demonstrations of some photoshop techniques.

Due to the success of the course we will be hopeing to repeat this later in the year, If you are interested in a course like this please drop us a line so that we can let you know once we fix dates for the next one.

Amieboo Model Day

We are delighted to announce that we will be having a studio day with Amieboo on Sunday 23rd May 2010. Hourly slots are available from 10am. Amieboo has a profile on purestorm. Amieboo will be working up to art nude and the cost will be £45 / hour. please contact the studio for further details.

New Fittings

At last we have now got the shower fitted and working in the dressing room and have also added other props including a leather sofa. Thanks to everyone that has hired the studio so far and look forward to being able to provide the facilities that you require.

New Pictures Added

A few more pictures of the studio have been added. Carpet and door matting have been added at the front area and the dressing room is finished off. There are a couple of improvements in the pipeline coming from suggestions made at the successful opening evening - a big thank you to everyone who attended and also a big thanks to the sponsors who provided the prizes for the raffel.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this site. Currently the Studio is under construction and progressing well. Most internal work has been completed and it is currently being fitted out. The website is also a work in progress so please revisit to see how it is progressing. The Studio will be available for hire from September (date to be finalised).
